Adrenabook

Platform for discovering and managing outdoor activities

End-to-end development of an app enabling users to discover centres and their activities, and allowing professionals to manage their services, available slots and bookings.

Personal project

Coverage of the Adrenabook project

Context

Finding an outdoor activity near where you live means having to hop from one centre’s website to another, each with its own opening hours, prices and booking form.

As for the centres themselves, the management of time slots and bookings often relies on generic tools that are ill-suited to a seasonal, weather-dependent activity.

Problem

Two audiences, two contrasting needs, and no platform was properly meeting both.

  • Participants have no single place to compare centres, activities and availability.

  • The centre manages its slots manually and loses bookings due to a lack of a suitable tool.

  • Neither party has a clear record of what has been booked, cancelled or rescheduled.

Solution

I designed the platform around two distinct user journeys: ‘Discovery’ for participants and ‘Management’ for the centre, both running on the same database.

Discovery section: search by area and type of activity, centre profiles, viewing available slots and organising sessions.

Management section: a private area enabling the centre to keep its activities, time slots and bookings up to date, with a full history.

Outcome

The platform now allows users to search for a centre by area and activity, view its available slots and, for centres, manage activities, slots and bookings from a single dashboard.

  • 2distinct career paths, discovery and management
  • 1database shared by both audiences
  • 100%historical booking records
